I just came back from Thailand. I stayed in a villa at the beach in Koh Samui. It was my second trip to Thailand, but my first one to this island. Before I had only a 4 day holiday in Bangkok. And now this. Koh Samui, despite the development going on (seems not avoidable in a flourishing tourist destination) it is really a paradise.

The beaches are white and clean, swaying palmtrees everywhere and the local people have a special charm. I stayed with my wife and 2 children at Ridgeway Estate and it was bliss pure Serenity Aqua Spa Guest Suite. but had basically the whole villa for us.

It is a little bit away from everything, but that was what we wanted and it has enough space and garden for the kids to run around and not get bored. All in all it was wonderful and we are planning to visit Koh Samui over Christmas again.
